Comment Policy

This is my blog and I approve or disapprove all comments. I have found it necessary to establish a set of rules or guidelines for comments.

1. First and foremost, this is my blog. Respect my house or leave. You can disagree with me but do it in a respectable way. If I disagree with you, I will do so in a respectable way.
2. A comment must be relevant to the post.
3. The commenter’s name field is for your name. If you try to use a keyword phrase to gain SEO benefit for your link, then I will probably change it or delete the comment. There is some gray area here, but not much.
4. Do not post more than one or two links in your comment. They must be necessary for making your point and if it’s the same link as you leave in the URL field it will be removed.
5. Manual Spam will be deleted. Manual spam comments are comments obviously left by someone trying to get SEO benefit by mentioning one thing from the article, in broken English, and that makes no sense.
6. If you want to say something short and simple such as “Great Post” or “Thank You”, then do so, just don’t put a keyword phrase in the Name field, or 67 links after the “Thank You”. And, thank you for saying thank you!
7. I generally do not approve comments with links to web sites or blogs that are not in English. If the comment is valid and beneficial, I may remove the link and then approve the comment. Sometimes, if the web site or blog that is linked to is really good, I’ll approve it with the link, but not usually.
8. I do not approve comments with links to sites about gambling, dating sites, adult content, illegal activity, illegal drugs, etc… if the comment content is ok, then I’ll remove the links and approve the comment.
9. Comments that are mean spirited, vulgar, would mislead people, or my mother would not approve of, will not be approved!
10. Comments that are determined to be left via an open free web proxy server will be deleted. There’s no reason to hide when leaving comments on this blog – this blog is for real people only!
