People love an underdog… they just don’t want to BE the underdog. If you’re trying to find a way to make money online, and you don’t already have deep pockets, guess what… you ARE the underdog.
Some have said the Internet levels the playing field. To some degree that’s true, but not nearly as much today as 15-20 years ago. Today you’re competing with individuals and companies pumping millions into ads and promotions to drive traffic to their offerings.
In effect, if you’re just starting out, with limited funds, you’re Rudy.
Rudy took a lot of hits on the practice team. You’ll take hits online if you spend money with no return, or constantly buy products and services that do not produce. I’m on several email lists for Internet Marketing and Making Money Online. Some are very good, and some seem to offer a “new”, “never offered to our community” product or service every month or so. I’ve purchased a few of the later out of curiosity and they’re usually like a nicely wrapped up birthday present: but you find out the box is empty once you open it.
Another way to get hit is to try to juggle too many balls at one time. Like a quarterback focused on his downfield receivers, failing to notice the tight end rushing around your left tackle will get you knocked to your butt. Focus on a manageable number of projects at a time – this may mean just one (1) at a time.
7 Key Points of Making Money Online:
- You need professional tools to succeed (look in the right column [bottom if you’re on a mobile device] for my currently recommended products). This is the only tool you really need.
- You don’t actually have to create a product or service (it’s great if you can); you can be very successful as an affiliate marketer (again see the right hand column).
- Focus on building an email list: huge followings on social media are awesome but… This ONE Thing Can Improve Your Bottom Line.
- Focus on something you know and like, not just something you think will make a lot of money (People can tell when you’re genuine).
- Measure, track, analyze. Don’t continue to put money into things that do not produce results. This requires the professional tools mentioned in #1 above – they pay for themselves!
- Be realistic and don’t get discouraged: very, very, very, very, very few people start something and succeed quickly. Success takes time and a lot of hard knocks and hits.
- Signup to my email list – you get two(2) really good reports giving tons of information on how to succeed online, plus I sometimes send my list information that I do not post on this blog.
Until next time,
Fred
P.S. You may think my 7 points are too simple to work. They’re not. It’s deceptive, most people think you need complexity to succeed, it’s just the opposite. Some things ARE complex (like the tools you need), but they’re already done for you.
